In more good news for residents of Northern states seeking to relocate to Naples Gulf Access, a recent study ranked Florida as the 8th most tax-friendly state. The Kiplinger study celebrated Florida’s lack of state income tax, along with its “reasonable” property taxes.
Topping out the list in order of the top ten tax-friendly states include Wyoming, Nevada, Delaware, Alabama, South Carolina, Tennessee, Mississippi, Florida, Arizona, and Georgia. No states from the Northeast, Midwest, or Pacific Coast made list.
This Kiplinger study only focused on taxes. While Florida is undeniably a top ten tax-friendly state, there are many other factors to consider when picking a place to call home. Florida also scores high on other factors not included in this study, including access to healthcare, climate, cultural activities, and education.
Factoring just taxes alone, makes Naples Gulf Access and the state of Florida, a highly appealing destination. Some of the highly coveted tax benefits of Florida include no state income tax, reasonable annual property taxes averaging 1.041% of home value, no estate tax, no inheritance tax, a strong homestead exemption, including additional tax benefits for seniors. For Naples Gulf Access residents, the one area Florida does not score well on is high average state and local sales tax, averaging 7.05%.
Overall, this is a rosy report for residents seeking to relocate to Florida and Naples Gulf Access. Depending on where one calls home, can have implications of tens of thousands of dollars per year in taxes. Couple the tax savings with a great climate, endless activities and festivals, great schools, fantastic healthcare, make Florida the best state in the Nation. Naples Gulf Access has a bright present and future basking in the Florida sunshine, with plenty of shade from taxes that can burn money.
